In 1962 I went to work for Knowlan's Super Markets and with the help of the Knowlan Family, bankers etc purchased the company in 1988. We opened our first Festival Foods in !989 and today have 7 stores along with Taste of Scandinavia Bakery and Cafes. I have sold the company to my sister and I am proud of our accomplishments in a fiercely competitive market. I enjoy golf, fishing, travel accompanied by my 2 Bichons!! Our weekends are spent in Amery,Wi where we have enjoyed Lake Wapogasset for 47 years.

I worked as a Secretary for most of my younger years. After my husband retired, we moved to a beautiful area above Mt. Shasta and opened a candy store. After 8 years, my kids didn't like the "small town" life so we moved to Bakersfield. We now have 6 dogs, 2 cats and both kids at home, which I love. My great travels have taken me to China, Hawaii, England and Holland. Sorry I'll miss the reunion. |

Hard to believe it's 50 years! I have 5 children and 2 fabulous Granddaughters. My youngest daughter, Leslie, was married last week (Oct. 28). I hope to see some of you at the reunion. I was not that active in High School and was kind of socially shy and not very confident, so I don't know how many of you remember me! If you do, please send me an email |

What a joy it will be to see you all...Gene Schnagl ('62) and I were married for 26 years. We divorced, Eventually, I remarried and became a "cougar" and am crazy happy like a teenager, for the past 16 years. We are living in Spring Lake Park. Tim Downey, my husband is from Montana. Our children are all over: Big Sky MT, Charlotte NC, Lino Lakes and Blaine, MN. We have 28 nieces and nephews many of whom are reaching the marrying age, so we travel west often. Tim is a Business Systems Analyst and changes opportunities about every 6 months. I am working at People Serving People, a shelter for homeless children and families. Our goal, at the shelter is to help families begin again: training for job interviews, education opportunities, and home searches. I am looking forward to seeing the old Camp Fire gang from JJ Hill and those great kids from Macalester Presbyterian! And to be consistent we have six grandchildren: 3 smarter than average girls and 3 brave and handsome boys! |

Life after graduation: Continuing my education was always a goal but needing to make a living, I went to work for Midwest Janitoral Service. I worked full-time for them for two years and in 1964 got married to my first wife and divorced just a year later.I started working as a mattress filler at Sealy Mattress Company. I was proud to be one of the fastest and best mattress stuffers at the company. I worked for Sealy until I broke my back in 1975. In 1972, I had married again. The back injury did allow me to go back to school and I received my Associate Degree in Child Development in 1980. Unfortunately, I was unable to find employment in this field to support my family, so I started working at the St. Paul Hotel. I worked my way from laundry to Stewarding in the 14 years I was there. I then started working days at Radisson Hotel and nights at the Afton House. I again divorced but worked hard, continuing at the Afton House until 2007 when I became disabled and retired. I now count my Blessings. I married Christine, my loving and supportive wife in 2008. My three daughters remain a close special part of my life and have given me 7 wonderful grandchildren. I now enjoy my creative side, making beautiful, one of a kind God's Eyes - a skill I learned during recovering from the back injury. I enjoy being my own boss and sell my creations at www.averyoriginalsgallery.com. I am looking forward to seeing friends again at the reunion. |
